The trees in the far north have much shorter branches for the most part, adapting to snow loads. I live in the south and I wish Jason Kohler was in charge down here. Our pine branches can be 20 feet and longer. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the Grand Solar Minimum snow quantities are going to down branches numbering in the trillions in Forest that stretch from the piney woods of East Texas to the Atlantic coast. People in the North may abandon that region and move South just to be a Forest fire victim. They are going to play the lucrative global warming game right to the point the GSM has us by the short curly’s.
So don’t expect any advanced planning to mitigate.

The road there is only a hundred years old wilderness before that. Go north off Stevens, forest service road to the backside of Glacier Peak. Still wilderness there. You can go up to the Pass that way from Leavenworth by Lake Wenatchee.
